SCC Treatment Services

The SCC offers numerous types of therapies to address mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, traumatic stress, panic attacks, substance abuse, eating disorders, body image concerns, relationship problems, and family stressors. Listed below is a summary of our services. For more information about each, please click the links:

Updates About Our Services

In your initial triage session, your counselor will discuss recommended treatment options which are immediately available to you.  If your counselor recommends individual or couples counseling, those services may entail up to a 4-week wait to be assigned to a counselor at the busiest times of the year.  However, we make every effort to serve students in severe distress as quickly as possible.  We also offer referral services through our case manager, Bobbi Britton-Stroud, if you need assistance in locating a community therapist.

Effective 10/1/17, a Missed Appointment Fee will be applied to clients' Student Business Services accounts following no-showed individual or couples counseling appointments. In order to avoid this charge, clients must contact the Student Counseling Center prior to the scheduled appointment times to cancel or reschedule appointments which they cannot keep. Appointment text reminders are a courtesy and may not be sent for every appointment. SCC clients are responsible for knowing their appointment times, regardless of whether they receive text reminders.
